5th Wheel Stability when parked

Hi all.

I have a 2010 Keystone Laredo (36') model 310RE 5th wheel trailer.

Last year I replaced the hangers and the equalizers on both sides with a generic version verses the OEM version at a huge savings (equalizers were $350 vs $29 .

I have since noticed the trailer is not as stable when parked. Definately more movement when walking around inside.

Has any one had any experience likewise and if so, did you find a fix? Would installing OEM versions make a significant difference in parked stability?

I already use a tri-pod, X-chocks, and the usual rear stabilizers.

Any other new tricks or add ons out there that one could recommend I try?

Thanks,

Jim

You might want to review a recent thread related to the same topic: http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=24730

To answer your question, if the "generic" hangers and equalizers are "the same size and as sturdy" as the OEM ones that you replaced, then no, the new ones won't add to your "rocking while parked".....

I got the Steadyfast because they both have good reviews, but the owner gives you his personal cell number to call if you need support.

Check out Bal locking stabilizer bars. Same thing but less $. I have only had these and have one pair in front and one rear and they are rock solid except for center up and down suspension travel but my fiver is 37 feet.

We found lock arms. Mine is the cougar on the right. My buddy has Jt and likes them. The one benefit i see is I have to use a wrench to tighten and loosen he has a t. Both work great. They stiffen up the front for sure.
