By law the big three have to juggle engineering staff every 5 years to keep parity in the league. With these rules in place, its guaranteed that certain design features will be incorporated into each brand.

Or not....

Where do you think some Ford's, Dodges or any other brands are assembled, also north of the border as well as south, it's not just GM.
I'm passed yes because the poor working people in Mexico are locked into 3 dollars hour contract making high end vehicle's. I have decided to run my new truck till i cant drive and delete the def after 6 years warranty is out .

It looks like the Ford designer and gm designer were hanging out in the bar and ford says to gm " I think I made the ugliest truck ever". GM says to ford "Hold my beer"...

I think Harley Earl would turn over in his grave if he saw some of the designs or non designs coming out of Detroit these days.

Same with the 98 Crown Victoria's tail lights. Straight from the 93 Olds Delta 88 Seems the more things change, the more they're the same.....

GMC built a few good trucks, they put chevy stickers on the rest of them.....

That coming from a guy that bought a Ford when they advertised

Another difference I noticed (went and test drove a 3500 HD DRW High Country after I bought mine) was the Chevy had glossy bronze plastic trim around the center console where it appears my GMC has brushed aluminum in those places. I personally HATE glossy surfaces in a car because they always scratch easily and show dust immediately so that was another notch in the GMC belt for me this go around.

BUT, the Chevy did show you the speed limit on the road you are on in the dash, something I would love to have in my GMC. My Mazda CX-9 Signature has this (the every day car) and I use it frequently if on unfamiliar roads.
