New to this forum
Just purchased pre-owned Alpine 2016 3536RE and have a couple questions not covered in owners packet 1. The water control is marked "Normal, City, Tank", which position should it be in when parked and hooked up to park water. This would seem simple but I've had it in the city position and my fresh water tank has slowly filled up. 2. I have two ACs thermostat has zone 1&2, I am on 30 amps how can I run just zone 2 or front ac without rear zone running? Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Welcome aboard! That's a nice 5er. This is a great place to learn and also share your experiences.
I would have said that the City setting is the correct one for normal park set up. I don't know if there's another setting to manage the tank from filling or not. Do you have the manuals that came with the trailer? They could also help. If not you should be able to download one for your setup.
You can run either one or the other AC unit on 30 Amps. Sometimes you can get away with running both. Their running amp draw isn't all that much but they spike as they first kick on, which is when you might trip the breaker. The microwave can also be a factor as can a hair dryer...or anything with a heavier amp draw. I don't have the exact figures and they will vary a bit depending on whether you have 13.5k BTU (typically the front AC) or 15k BTU (typically the rear AC) running.

A 15K ac draws q12.5 - 13 amps running, so 3 ac units on 30 amps ain't gonna work, period. You can use one but I can't advise you on zones.
City setting is the proper setting for your water. Those valves can leak into the freshwater tank if the seals are bad. I think they are typically "O" rings and can be replaced. One caution on the water valve...turn the water off and relive the pressure by opening a faucet before changing the valve position. Turning the valve while under pressure will dislodge the "O" rings.

Thanks for the data. I don't think he has 3 AC's, just 2.

3 was a typo, but reason would dictate that 2 units will not run on a 30 amp service.
