Mark Twain National Forest

The DW and I are trying to plan a trip, and while we do great at picking spots by our selves, we also love your guys input.

With that said, has anyone stayed here? We are looking to stay "inside" the forest as it were, probably a weeks stay if we can find it, and while full hook up would be preferred, I doubt anything other than electric maybe is available? Water and electric would be awesome as well.

So anyone have any experience here, good or bad?

Don’t have much to say about camping there as I used to live in Rolla. Lots of hiking in the area, good scenery, fishing, etc. mark twain forest has lots of crazy bugs.

Thanks! Will check it out. We called last night and spoke with a nice lady who said red bluff campground was nice? I guess I’m just not sure what exactly to expect, and I’m hoping not a ton a bugs but who knows, it is what is it.

So we switched it up a bit and are now going to land between the lakes, piney campground. Looks pretty neat!
