Using the small propane bottles is an expensive way to go. I have used a 10lb propane tank with hose for our Weber and that works fine. The advantage of this is that it is light and can be easily moved about. Have also used the regular 20lb tank as well.
Others on here have their BBQ hooked up to the quick connect propane already on the unit. A portable table or one that is attached and folds down would be required for this set-up. Both setups have their advantages and disadvantages so I think it comes down to personal preference. Both are vastly superior and less costly than the little bottles you have been using now.
