I have the new 2018 Gmc Duramax. At 445 Hp and 910 FtLbs of torque I see no reason to fool with any of it. Pulls like a freight train. However I do read about what others are doing on previous models . GM has tried to lock out tampering like they are all doing and maybe some day it will be something they can or cannot do. However I read one company that is famous for their "Deletes and hardware " and their Chief engineer made a great point. He said they would be able to get 40% more power out of the new Duramax's but the problem will be that the Allison transmission clutches won't take that extra power so you will end up with a fried $5000 + transmission unless you redo that from the beginning. I say leave alone. I customize my motorcycles and do it myself. My truck is staying the way GM made it. Guess I"m getting old. LOL
