I would suggest measuring the space for the batteries available on your Passport. Even if you have to buy new boxes you will be better off with 2 batteries if they will fit. A 6v system requires two batteries to get to 12v. Either way you are now able to expand your RV experience to include those places (like Forest Service and National Park campgrounds) that don't offer full hook-ups. We find ourselves dry camping and boondocking a lot. I think it puts us closer to the action. Once you're ready give it a try
