No. I do not have venting for the battery but do plan to add a small vent in the back this spring before I re install the battery. Haven't had a problem so far though. The plug in the front is not wired to anything. Its purpose was only to keep the plug out of the dirt. After reading about putting a jumper wire in to turn on the running lights , that may be in the future plans as well.
