When you get there, there are two sections to the campground. One "back in the trees" where the restrooms, laundry, etc are located and one "out on the flats" next to the river. The laundry/bath house are in a 2 story building. There are water marks on the second floor where the "last year's rising water" had flooded the campground. Those water marks were "mid window" on the second floor, probably 16-18 feet above the ground. All of the cypress trees were also marked where the water level had risen. Needless to say, everything "out on the flats" was under 25+ feet of water.

When they close the campground, you can bet it's because nobody is crossing the levy to the "wet side".....
