We haven't actually looked at the passport in person b/c the closest dealer is 3 hours away. With that being said, I am 6' 285lbs and my wife is 5'5 150lbs. Would we be able to sleep somewhat comfortably in the bottom bunk? How about the tri fold sofa?

Unless they changed something, you won't be able to fit on the sofa. I'm 5'10" and can't fit without bending my knees. You should be able to fit on the bottom bunk. I've seen someone over 6' sleep/lay in that area.
