The most likely cause of the void marks you are seeing in the bonded surface is moisture has gotten in between the bonded skin layer...then if you are in freezing climate moisture freezes up and expands creating void marks.. those are at rivet heads..

I’ve had two basement cargo access doors do exactly the same thing 3 years apart... moisture got in between the upper hinge and mount attachment strip and the rest was history
