I guess I could roll the awning up one wrap and then the material would block the lights, but that’s not my preferred solution.

I did this on my 326srx. I had a spare switch in the panel so I disconnected the step and amber porch light from the awning lights so they are independently controlled. Was pretty easy since I had an empty switch in the panel.
