Mystery solved
Indeed, the answer is that we have one 30 gal. grey tank, and one 30 gal. black tank. The extra grey tank indicator must be a remnant from re-using a panel from several models in our model. 30 gallons is so small, it took only one shower and a few sinks full of dish washing before before we filled it past full to tell for sure. It was obvious when the last load of dishes caused the bathtub to fill with a bit of the overflow. That showed there was no separate galley tank from the bathroom grey tank.
