Good deal; now that makes sense! I personally would also have a tripod as a picnic table or other way to get it off the ground in the event of a lot of rain seems like a dandy idea. I am not thrilled with the tripod since it relies on the rubber feet to sit in cut outs and then you turn them a bit to secure the thing. Not real positive but it does work. I carry a gallon water jug filled about 3/4 with gravel and hang it with a bungee connected to the base of the tripod to keep it fairly secure from wind. They give you a stake to put in the ground but in my part of the world, that just ain't happening most of the time.
I think the mount on the roof makes a lot more sense but they should have put a crank like the OTA antenna where you could rotate it without climbing the ladder. At my age, the ladder isn't my favorite activity.
