If you're worried there are kits to swap the CP4 to the older style CP3, I've also heard adding a lift pump can help.
I have a stock 2015 with the LML and have had no problems, but I'm 100% stock. And that's very hard for me to do. I had an '06 LBZ that was far from stock. But using mine for towing now changes priorities.

But to do the swap you have to reprogram & with all the tuners shut down you won't be able to find anyone unless you look north.
