Yes the same issue in Texas a few years ago. Went to Harbor freight & bought the screen tarp & clipped to the top of the slide & stacked the bottom out at a slight angle, also added a small battery operated fridge fan inside the fridge & all worked good.
The problem is there's not much insulation from the sun between the side wall & back of the fridge so the sun is heating up the inside. Fridge requires heat to operate but only in the coils not the whole back side.
