Interesting post and glad it was apparently the less expensive option of bad AC compressor than injector issues

My duramax engine needs minimum of about 210 rpm during cranking or it most likely will not start.

I can well see how the starter would perhaps have issues trying to turn over a stone cold engine with a seized AC compressor.
