A LP quick connect is for a stove or BBQ that does not have a regulator. Some stoves that have a regulator (equipped to use the disposable tanks) can be modified by removing the regulator and installing a male LP disconnect. Search the forum and you will find many discussions on favorite stoves and modifications.
