I bought an old tire shop about five years ago and re-did the front half, about 30'x30'. I keep the office and two small rooms heated. I go to the shop usually every week day when I'm not working for a big farm. Between cleaning up, reloading ammunition, researching on the 'net, visiting with a couple of old friends, I usually can pee away the day.
I haven't been "bored" for a total of an hour in my life (71), and if it doesn't appear that I'm doing much physically, I'm usually just happy with my thoughts!
When we go touring with the camper, I usually spend my evenings researching guns and diesel locomotives on the 'net. I listen to a chapter or two from an audio book on my phone pretty much every night, no matter where I am. I also like to read books. Never a dull moment around with my DW.
