I don't necessarily agree with the above statement. We have a 2017 F350 DRW with an 8' box; we pull a Raptor 3712TS. When hitched, the generator box door will not open fully to access the front generator. (You may need access to check oil, set the altitude setting on the carburetor, reset breakers, etc.) To resolve this, I added a slider to my Reese hitch - after we park, my first step in set-up is to put the hitch in "maneuvering" position which gives me room to get full access to the generator. That also gives me easier access to drop the tailgate and get access to the truck bed. As the last step of leaving, I put it back into "tow" position before we leave.

IMO, with a dually you may not need a slider to "tow and maneuver", but you might want it for better access to both the tailgate area and the front of the trailer.
