Two years ago we went the opposite direction - from Cody to Sheridan on 14. Stopped at a campground by Burgess Junction for a few days. We didn’t have a problem going that way. But I *think* 16 is an easier drive if I’m remembering correctly, meaning not as steep. I hope someone else will chime in since I’ve never towed on 16, just driven it over the years and didn’t really pay attention for if we were pulling the camper that way.

Here is the sign posted near Burgess Junction showing the grades for 14 and 14A. I apologize for the second photo being sideways, that seems to be a problem for me...

If you have a chance and are stopping in the Big Horns for a couple of days, the Medicine Wheel off of 14A is very interesting to see. It’s a hike uphill to get to it, but worth it. Also, if going west on I-90, the Vore Buffalo Jump just east of Sundance, WY is also an interesting stop.
