Labman, I concur with what has been said so far. A quality air compressor is a must, a generator a maybe. DW and I would not own an RV anymore without an onboard genny, but we've been at this for many years. And don't rule out a borrowed little 750 watt generator if you are trying to keep the weight down. The 2000 watt Honda is my favorite, but I gave ours to my son so I'm back to the 4000 watt or the little 750 if I put one in the truck. I also keep the little infrared thermometer handy in the back seat and check all tires at every stop. WAY more accurate then our TPMS. About $15 at John's favorite store......Harbor Freight.
