I have a 2011 268rls Outback with a full slide. The metal on the slide is very solid. I have a difficult time seeing your pictures, but it appears the alignment is ok. I am confused as to the metal strips you are referring to...are these the metal on the outside of the camper slide? If so, I would be tempted to dyi it. As far as the seal, before I guessed it was sealing, I would spray water all around the seal to make sure the alignment was not effected. Hope this helps a little. My camper is fiberglass, so maybe I am all wet!
