Sorry that you experienced that damage on your new coach. With aluminum siding, it'll be a much cheaper repair than damage to an RV constructed with fiberglass walls.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Lippert's through frame slide out. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Just an FYI, I installed slide toppers (awnings) in order to keep 'nature' off the tops. It's worked well for 2 seasons. Haven't been up on a ladder at a campsite yet. Everything just falls off when the slides are retracted. I like the insurance.
