The deal sounds kind of fishy to me (sorry). You might just call Keystone with the info you have on your trailer and get their take on it. And John is right, I've not seen any $1000 grills installed on any regular RV I've seen. Maybe they make an "RV" model?

Plus, I would think that for them to have been mounted in wood previously, and all of a sudden they now have to be mounted in metal would have to be because a new law or ruling came into effect. If that was the case they would have know long before it was effective instead of shut down the assembly line and start removing grills to remove them from a wood enclosure then put them in metal??? That doesn't sound right.

Here's hoping there's just some sort of mixup and they get it straightened out quickly for you.
