I have the black spots on roof, some say mold some say no. Whatever it is, it is not easy to get off. I tried a mixture of 1 gallon water 1 cup Borax and 1/3 cup of Dawn dish detergent ( DID NOT WORK). Also tried mineral spirits and a mixture of bleach and water (DID NOT WORK). I just tried Tilex mold and mildew remover. Spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes to work in and then take a good brush to it. Make sure you wipe clean when done. It work great but it takes some working in. hope it works as well for you as it did for me. Now time to do the rest of the roof.
