Welcome to the forum. We've been down that way many, many times over the years. We have spent a lot of time at Little Talladaga Gran Prix racetrack on down highway 21....between Munford and the town of Talladaga. We both love the Catfish restaurant in Gadsden, although I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. River something??
