Good idea on the scouting first... I use a few resources first, Google Earth,Google Maps, Forest Maps. On camping day, depending on location, I always drop the camper and drive on..... camping site I enjoy is 11 miles off main road. Would hate to drive all the way in and find road blocked or camping space occupied.. Imagine trying to back up trailer on narrow winding road
