Look at the thermostat, I bet the FAN setting is either Hi or Lo. Set it to AUTO and your problem should go away.

If you have a “3 button” thermostat just press the LEFT button until you see FAN displayed, then just press the up or down arrow on the right side until you see AU displayed.
