I use the brass garden hose quick disconnects around the house all the time. You can easily find a couple brass fittings at your hardware store to attach to the hose, then quick disconnect and the head, then quick disconnect.
I replaced my inside shower head with the Oxygenics some years and was worth it. But I stilled used my original hose, color preference. Tan hose with white Oxygenics head.
So my outside shower head is still original, same hose as inside. I hardly use it but its right next to my black tank flush. So to winterize, I took the head to the hardware store. Found the thread size to convert to a hose bib. Remove head, install fitting and hookup to blank tank flush. Now I can pump antifreeze from outside shower to flush relatively easy. You can do the same thing with a few more fittings, might just be a little top heavy.
