In July we are heading from Mid-Michigan to Falls Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee. We are doing an overnight in Wapakoneta OH then continuing on. My GPS and all the mapping apps I have looked at say to get off I-75 at Mt.Vernon KY. on 461 then work my way across. My Father-in-law, who we are meeting up with that lives down there, (who doesn't like pulling his own camper unless it is on a highway) thinks we need to go all the way to Knoxville and then take 40 to the west.

My question is has anyone taken the 461 to 90 to 111 route. By GPS it seems to be highway still and not windy back roads.
