I wouldn't dream of taking off on a trip with that size trailer, even on a 2500, without a wdh/sway system (and yes, I would go with the equalizer). Weights are one thing, sway caused by the long flat slab sidewalls of the RV are a completely different thing. Safety is THE one thing you want with that big swinging tail behind you. JMO
