For me 7 hrs. is about as long as I want to go. On any trip set up before dark is mandatory. Enough time to "shut down" and get comfortable is also mandatory. I have always studied the area so know what is there and where I want to go eat, sites etc. I like about 5 hrs the best, and where I try to stay, and sometimes go no longer than 2-2 1/2 hours....but we are retired.

I spent my life "flying" from A to B due to some reason. Never even saw what was there when I, or the family, flew through it. I now have the ability to spend as much time, in as many places, as I want to. I'm trying very hard to learn to "slow down" and enjoy. I would encourage, strongly, those that travel either with limited, or unlimited, time to just take time to SEE and enjoy what they are going through -you may never get to see it again.
