I tow a 2014 Alpine 3010RE with a 2015 3500HD Duramax LTZ package, standard bed SRW with airbags and a B&W hitch. It's my third Duramax, the others were 2500HDs. It is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. It rides stiffer than a Suburban, but is just as comfortable. The exhaust brake aligned with the cruise control is fantastic. You would not be sorry for buying the same.
