All of the currently available power plants in pick ups sold in the U.S. are great.

Cummins - of course - wrote the book on diesels. I drove them for years as an over-the-road trucker.

Ford's new generation 6.7L V8 is was engineered by Ford. The previous Powerstroke diesels were built by Navistar (the old International Harvester Company)

The Izusu motors have been around for a while - don't know much about them - but I did own an Izusu once - never again

added on edit: It never pays to take any of this personally. We all have our likes and dislikes. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla.
