We just returned from a trip to Glacier NP. We spent 4 days in the back country, but the rest of the time we stayed at KOAs:
KOA Yellowstone Park/Mountainside, MT - this is new. There's another one half a mile up the road owned by the same people called Yellowstone/West Gate, MT. We stayed there on the way back and it was beautiful. The Mountainside has a way to go as far as their pads - they aren't very level and have some potholes. We were in peak season so just grateful they had room for us on a day's notice. Pretty views. It will be good after a little more work on it.
KOA Townsend/Canyon Ferry Lake, MT - basic gravel parking but very clean with a beautiful lake about 1/2 mile away. Unless you have a boat it's not very appealing for more than a one night stay.
KOA Great Falls, MT - Great place. Big hedges between each site.
KOA St. Mary/East Glacier, MT - beautiful panoramic views in every direction. Very open, and each site had a fire pit and grass area that was large enough for us to set up our screen tent. Right at the East Entrance and Going to the Sun Road.
KOA Missoula, MT - for being right in the city it was okay. Good location but sandwiched between trailer parks. Very clean with large sites.
KOA Dubois, WY - great little place right in the middle of this tiny little town and right on the North Platte River.

All of these KOAs were between $55-$65 per night. KOAs are awesome!
