Is there pass through storage in the front? You might try adding more gear there for more weight on the tongue, if you don't like the idea of adding water.
Other than that, find smoother roads lol. There are some stretches in michigan that I either take other roads around them, or I just find the lane that is the best and stick with it. Either way isn't ideal, but you just learn to make the best of it.
