The only place we have stayed in that area of AZ was at Williams. We stayed at the railway park and rode the train to the Grand Canyon and spent a night up there at the hotel.
The Railway station is in the RV Park area. The park office has a pet motel. Across the train tracks you'll find US-66 running right down main street. Great little IGA store. See the link below.
