While Ihaven's idea and use of the 5/8 hose to drain the grey tank seems fine at face value, keep in mind that unless your rig has a grey water flush then the build-up of 'settlement' will not be properly removed from the grey tank. It is not a good idea for a permanent install. We too have a cap with a garden hose fitting and have drained grey water away from the RV in a pinch, but it is not a good idea overall. YMMV
