Black won't dump
Don't rely on the tank level guages. For the most part, they are useless.
Make sure that until it's time to dump the black tank, leave the black tank valve closed. If you don't, the fluid runs out but the solids stay. Fluid is necessary to get a flow of water to help carry solids away.
