If you didn't disconnect the battery during storage it could be completely dead and unable to take a charge and needs to be replaced. If you disconnected the leads to the battery while it was in storage you could have reversed then when you reconnected them, it may have arced when you connected the negative lead. Some panels have a reverse polarity function that locks out power from the battery to prevent damage to the components.
