This is a great point and one I may have mentioned previously. Retirement is great, and we have been for over 11 years. BUT, work was wonderful before. I loved my job. I retired because the stars aligned, got a big payout and went. I was NOT mentally ready simply because I loved my job and employees - I went into a 2 year depression because I missed everything. Make sure you are mentally ready, then have all your other ducks in a row. Best wishes to all.
