I tried, like a fool, to slide the material in the track thinking it might be simple ... wrong!

Anyone have any ideas on how to do this? The dealer had to replace the awning material shortly after purchase and I don't think it was ever put on quite right or maybe it has moved a bit over the last 18 months. I hate to take it to the dealer for what should be a fairly simple adjustment.

Would spraying the track with silicone spray help it slide?

There should be a set screw in the channel on each end of the fabric on both the trailer side and on the roller side. You have to loosen both of the set screws on either the trailer side or the roller side to move the fabric. I have found that a solution of dish soap and water have worked the best when moving the fabric in the channels. I have helped replace 2 and found this to work best. It also helps to release the tension off of the fabric. This allows it to move easier. Soak the entire channel and allow it to set for a few minutes. You should be able to slide it then. Good luck.
