I made up an oak coat hook and mounted it between the entry door and the LR slide. One screw goes into the aluminum stud, the other onto a hollow door anchor that is nothing more then a big screw in gadget. You drill a small hole and using a Phillip's screw driver, turn into place. You then put a small screw in that. One caution - make sure that the regular screw is shorter then the wall thickness. I just added a stair rail and did it the same way - a hefty screw in the aluminum stud then 5 hollow door anchors to hold it the rest of the 48" length.
