Had a marvelous day checking / re-greasing bearings, and adding a heavy duty shackle and wet bolt kit. Usually not that hard of a task, but, the eyes in the springs were so rusted I had to use a burr tool on the air drill. That's fun in a pair of shorts
Dealer gave me the wrong bearing kits I ordered when purchasing 5er, thought I could get a head start and grease them up and do a quick swap, nope.
Bearings were in good shape, just needed fresh grease, and brakes were great. Took a while to figure out what to use to clear the eyes on the springs. Only got one side done.
Was mostly a trip to see my favourite uncle as he has cancer and is not doing well. An operation is called for in the very near future. Was nice to spend some time with him, will have to go up soon to do the other side.
