You can go to your local LP distributor, maybe your local rv parts department & they can fix you up with a T, hose of any length you chose & the fitting for your grill to connect directly to your onboard bottles without any concerns with removing removing regulators, been using mine this way for years.
NO WAY am I refilling 1lb bottles, my life/limbs are worth far more than a $5 (even if it was $500) bottle of LP.
