There are a few cg in PA that have a central electrical "board" for 4 and some 6 sites that can end up over 50' away. I don't know where you are considering traveling to but I'd suggest checking out campgroundreviews.com . Great site with accurate info. As for the 30 amp extension it will limit you to 30 amps so you cannot run your air con and your microwave at the same time. While a 50 amp extension is more expensive and weights a lot more in my febal mind it's more useful. YMMV
