Sorry to dredge up this old thread, but wondering if there are any 'Dega campers in here and what their thoughts are on whether we should camp in the "free" areas or reserve a paid site. Any experiences to share?

We know what to expect from the whole Nascar camping experience and have been to many races, most recently MIS in August of this past year, so we realize that it's a "free for all" as far as partying and having a good time.
We have yet to do 'Dega though, and looking for anyone who has camped there and what their experience was.
