To level the trailer I had a curt 6 inch drop shank in the shed and used a sleeve to tow it to my brother`s parking lot. Pulling it I could feel the shank moving in the receiver, I noticed after removing the hitch the sleeve already had a slight mark on it from the movement from the shank. Yes I could weld it or even shim it, but what the heck. I just cut out all the maybe`s and could do`s and just order the correct shank and drop. A little play is ok but I think this was just to much for something close to 6800lbs. So if you move up just some things I have come across. Yes the 2017 is taller at the rear than a 2011 F250 son in law has one of those.
Yup, new larger shanks, new trailer safty chain hooks, new portable compressor, new tire gauge, new bed liner, new bed cover, etc. . . The price of moving up, I guess.

I was able to re-utilize my floor mats, though
