Ahh so it sounds like you may have room to put a drawer up above the rails.

1- I determined the drawer size and ordered a cabinet door that matches the interior woodwork from Trekwood. I found a door that would fit closest to the size drawer I wanted. then, I built the drawer "box" out of plywood. I attached the cabinet door to the drawer box to create the completed drawer.

2- I cut the hole in the face of the bed. I added the supports that the drawer glides would be mounted to under the bed.

3- I added the full extension drawer glides to the drawer and to the supports under the bed.

4- I slid the drawer into place.

I hope this helps! Its the steps in basic form.
